Chapter Philanthropy and Service
"To think in terms of all mankind and our service to the world."
In alignment with our national philanthropy, every October we host our annual "Think Pink Week". This week is dedicated to raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education, while also promoting breast cancer prevention on campus and in our community!

Our chapter's local philanthropy is the Animal Shelter! We volunteer to provide assistance with the animals and the grounds. Sisters also provide donations such as food, blankets, and leashes.
Along with our national and local philanthropies, we also participate in several other types of service throughout the community! Theta Theta believes that giving back to our community is not just a duty, but a privilege. Our dedication to community service is a fundamental aspect of our sisterhood, shaping up into compassionate leaders and engaged citizens.

Each year, ZTA participates in Arkansas Tech's "Green and Gold Give Back" day. During this event, the community of ATU joins together to provide yard clean up to local homes in Russellville. Sisters also volunteer for local elementary schools as well as retirement communities!
In 2020, we had the opportunity to participate in not only one but two, first time, unique events at Arkansas Tech. ATU was the first college to bring Play Unified to a college campus. Sisters had the opportunity to play all sorts of games with Special Olympic Athletes. The second event was the 24 hour bone marrow drive for Be The Match. ZTA helped break the World Record for most donations in one hour! Serving is a top priority of our chapter, and we are always excited to lend a helping hand.
Here are some of the service events ZTA has participated in over the years!
- Canned food drive
- Clothing drive
- Assisting with local elementary schools
- Book drive
- Sock drive for cancer patients
- Volunteering with the local Mana House
- Volunteering with River Valley Child Advocacy Center
- Green and Gold Giveback
- Assisting with the 2024 Eclipse
- Working ATU sporting events
