Parents

“But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.”

Letter to a ZTA Parent:

CONGRATULATIONS!  We would first like to welcome you and your daughter to a prestigious group of women locally and nationally.  We are so happy to have your daughter as our sister.  Even more so, we are extremely excited that she now can call Zeta Tau Alpha her home away from home.  As your daughter begins her walk in ZTA, she will meet her New Member Coordinator.  She is your daughter's very first sister to rely on to teach her why our sisterhood is so magnificent and special.

Zeta Tau Alpha will give your daughter many opportunities to grow, even more so, into an amazing young woman and adult.  Zeta Tau Alpha has decided to strive for “GREATNESS” in every aspect of life.  The late Deb Ensor, ZTA’s Executive Director from 1985-2014, inspired the motto “GREATNESS”.  She encouraged and taught every Zeta throughout the country to continuously “Seek the Noblest.”  As your daughter travels through her exciting journey as a New Member of Zeta Tau Alpha, she will find that she will constantly be surrounded by greatness.  Within this amazing sisterhood, there is great laughter, great friendship, great scholastic opportunities, great experiences, great love, and great memories.

Our hearts are so full of joy knowing that your wonderful daughter wanted to be a part of our sisterhood, but you should also know that as much as she wanted Zeta, we wanted her even more.  In your daughter, we saw the qualities of a Zeta Lady; we saw loyalty, kindness, nobility, and greatness.  We cannot wait to see how you grow during her time in Zeta Tau Alpha.

You have raised an exceptional young women, and we are so honored to have her in our sisterhood. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, feel free to contact our president at thetathetapresident1@gmail.com

Zeta Love,

Theta Theta Chapter

Even as young adults, we know how we got to where we are. With our busy schedules as college students and ZTA's, it is still important to us that we make time for our parents and show them how much they mean to us!

Every Fall, we host a "Dad's Day." We cookout, play flag football, go mini golfing and enjoy time with the important men in our lives. In the Spring, we host a "Mom's Day." We have a luncheon, make crafts and watch movies with our favorite women. Arkansas Tech also sponsors a "Family Day" each year during football season. ZTA treats our parents to a cookout and tailgate before we cheer on the Wonderboys!
